ARGUMENT #2 FOR GOD'S EXISTENCE

This is a summary of the article in today's e-mail edition of Building God's Wall. If you wish, please make a comment about it.

"Since everything has a cause, we can safely say there has to be some 'uncaused' Cause that is behind it all. Some 'uncaused' Cause that has put everything else into motion. Logic brings us to that conclusion, and the world around us bears out that conclusion."

GOING PUBLIC WITH YOUR FAITH

SEED PLANTING

For the next several Mondays, we'll be looking at some concepts on sharing our faith. I'll be taking these from the best book on "evangelism" I've ever read, GOING PUBLIC WITH YOUR FAITH, by William (Bill) Peel and Walt Larimore.

In our last issue, we looked at the importance of cultivating relationships others, the foundation for introducing Jesus to them. In this issue, we'll look at the "planting" stage. This is the time in which the misinformation and preconceived ideas about God and the Christian faith are addressed.

The authors wrote, "It requires thoughtful conversation as part of planting seeds of biblical truth, seeds designed to build an understanding of who JEsus is, what he wants from us, and what he wants to do for us."

Planting is not aruging, and trying to prove our point. It's still relating. You're not trying to win a debate. You're trying to plant seeds that will grow in the person, seeds that God will use to bring him into His kingdom.

"It begins slowly," the authors say, "with just enough truth to pique interest. As curiosity grows, so does the appetite for truth."
